What do you think of Microsoft Office products?

Question
To me, it’s great and at a fraction of the cost. I haven’t caught up errors in my computer including Word and other Office products. Word helps me fix my spelling in only a second. Wordpad doesn’t have print layout or web layout. Last thing, it’s perfect when doing essays and other important stuff that lasts in any time. So, what do you think?
Answered by bigtalltom
I love the Office suite. My only complaint is it is hard to find features because there are TOO many.

MS office vs wordpad office would win any day. BUT when compareing price ofice vs wordpad I’d have to go with wordpad. I find that MS office products can be a pain in the ass sometimes though du to their high crash rate (MS products are inherintly flawed). Unfortuneately though, I must say go with office.

It is very good. However, it is very expensive. If you want to use something similar to Microsoft Office products and don’t want to spend money, I suggest you download Open Office.
Just type Open Office to Google and you can get it.

Office is the best set of computer program I’ve found yet. They all do their job perfectly.

After 15 years as a programmer I can say that I’ve found nothing better except for Microsoft SQL Server, but they stole that from Sybase who stole it from IBM.

And yes, I’ve worked with all kinds of other vendors too. MS generally is just better.

Question
When reading about the features and system requirements of the various new 2007 Office versions, the Upgrades say you must have a qualifying Office product. What are these qualifying products and where do I find the list. Does this just mean I must have a previous version of Office and a valid product code?
Answered by hllywood72
Yes, it just means that you must have a previous version of Office in order to install the upgrade version…otherwise you would need to purchase the full version.
Question
I am in China, and the school’s computers are all in Chinese. I was told that I can change the language in various MS Office products such as FrontPage, Excel, Word etc from Chinese to English. I am really not sure how to do this. Hopefully someone can give me a walkthrough.
Any helpful answers will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

go to control panel, select regional language option and choose the language u want.
Answered by Aimi
well, firstly, all you need is to install the particular languages (let say English or Chinese) to your Window. Go to your control panel, set regional and language setting, add the desired language. Microsoft Office will automatically integrated with the system.
Answered by h0m3r.simps0n
Are you sure you are in China? Or did you download it for free from the warez sites and unluckily got the Chinese version(it happened to me)?

Well in that case, selecting regional language wont work. That software contains only the English version. For changing the language you will need a multi-lingual pack. I don’t know where you can get it. I bought the english version(pirated, obviously) after i got fed up using the Chinese one.

Just download the trial version of Office and use a serial number and activation patch. You can get them at(i am sure someone will remove this URL.) http://www.crackserver.com . You can also get the beta version of the new office at http://www.phazeddl.com .

Add your language in regional settings and you will be able to type in your local language.

If you are interested to see your language in the ofice interface such as file menus and everything you need to download Language Interface Pack (LIP). Its free downloadable from microsoft :)

You will enjoy when you use the language interface pack

Hello,

Contact Memorandum, the office supply company in Berkeley,
Gloucestershire. They also run an eco-blog.

In their own words “Companies from small to large, public, private and government organisations, all over the country, have Memorandum cartridges printing out their most vital documents… and when they need replacing, we take them away, recycle them and give stacks of money to charity every year!”

Hope this helps.

Microsoft Office has earned the place of being the industry standard for a reason. It is one of the best products on the market.. If you think Office 2003 is amazing just wait until Office 2007 comes out.. It has made some convuluted tasks in excel (pivot tables) a simple 1 2 3 operation.

Office is one of the mainstay items that is a consistent money maker for MSFT.

I’ve tried the Wordperfect Suite and the Open Office suite and they IMHO pale by comparison. (If MS Office ran on Unix/Linux I wouldn’t have even considered Open Office)

Microsoft makes outstanding products, Office being one of them.

Well, MS office maybe was best choice for proffesional users of excel, access and who knows what…. but then, pro’s have other pro programms for their use… no one with brain would use ms access on some serious project, when he can get MySQL… Or excel with lotus software…

And for price/usability, the best choise for most of the users is OpenOffice.Org suite…. and their writter has PDF output, and even better options then MS Word… and its… FREE…
