Question
I currently have a Nike Dymo driver and do not care for it. I hate the sound off the club face and it just doesn’t feel right when I hit it. I usually drive the ball around 220-230 with my driver now, and am looking for a driver with better feel and hopefully distance. The Titleist drivers look great, but which one should I get the d2 or d3? Thanks for the help.
By the way, I forgot to say I use a regular flex on my Nike Dymo if that matters. I do not know if i should change that or not.
I am also around a 10 handicap.

dude get the D3 i have it and im like a super tall 13 year old i love it :) it makes an awesome sound when you tee off its light and the grip doesnt hurt my hand goood luck and thanks :)

I found the 910 to be sort of unforgiving. If you are set on that price range, I would take a look at the Taylormade R11 and the ping i15. I have hit both of them and they feel great. I would give the nod to the Taylormade based on the fact that you can easily customize it to your game. Before you make your choice be sure to really try out each one, aim a little off purposely and see how much the ball strays, that type of stuff. Good Luck

Buy theTitleist 910 D3 Driver. The Titleist 910 D3 Driver delivers longer distance through a technologically advanced head design with a responsive, fast face insert that creates a ball-speed area that is 10% larger than other drivers. You can get with low price in the source site.

I bought a 910D2 a couple months ago (owned a 907D1 prior). Thoughts:

-The club is fully adjustable with the tool. Not just face open/close, but a total of 16 different settings. I have my setting slightly open as I tend to push as my hips clear out early.
-Head is clean (all Titleist drivers have this) with a fairly classic shape (the D1 I owned had an odd shape which I came to like).
-The D3 is a smaller clubhead.
-Before you make any changes, you should use a launch monitor to get a sense of your clubhead speed, angle, etc.
-I switched from a standard shaft to a stiff; my clubhead speed was between 95-100mph.
-Test both shafts before you buy.
-Read the directions on how to adjust the club before doing it.

In all…it’s been just shy of 60 days with my new driver and I’m very happy with it. I’m not one to change clubs that much (I had my 907D1 for four years) but I’m glad I upgraded.

Question
Whats it’s value, and How would I go about selling it.
Answered by Jon Not John
It’s probably worth whatever any other used Titleist 905 driver is worth, plus an interesting little story. Hopefully for your sake I’m wrong, but I doubt it. Do you have provenance? I mean, proof? You can’t just say that he used it — is it signed? That would increase the value.

Question
I like the looks of the Titleist 906F2. Any experience with that?
Also, I like the Ping G10.

My driver has the proforce V2 shaft.

Please….no mention of rockbottomgolf.com … limited selection, outdated junk … thanks.

Ping G10 received excellent reviews in Golf Magazine’s Club Test(May issue). It was rated best for hitting off the fairway. Tour Edge’s Exotics XCG was rated #1 overall for distance. Don’t know much about the Titleist 906F2.

I also play a 905R driver, and I really like my Titleist 975F 3-wood and 5-wood. The 975F is just the older model of the 906F2. I have hit the 906F2 and I honestly cannot tell much of a difference from the 975F. If you are willing to spend a little more, go with the 906F2. But you can find some very nice 975F’s on Ebay for good prices. I bet the G10 is great too, but I like to stick with one brand of woods in my bag because they all have a very similar feel (assuming the shafts are similar).

I recenty bought the Adams A3 hybrid 3 wood and like it. My previous 3 wood was a Taylormade V-Steel which I broke. The one thing that really stands out about this club is that it hits very well out of the rough. You don’t loose much distance even when the ball is sitting low. I used the hit a hybrid from the rough but the Adams goes through the rough like its not even there.
Question
i love the driver but i t has a price of $ 499.99. if anyone can help me i will appreciate it. thanks : )
can you please give me some links. thks
i want to buy it now and not in a couple of months
Answered by GOLFING LEGEND
there will be a discount in a couple of months to about a year when ever they lower the price on it because they will release a new driver. besides that you cant get one unless you buy a fake one. but i would try ebay, and even there half of them are fake
Answered by JeffKan1
Yeah, I hear ya, it’s amazing how expensive the new drivers and certain other single golf clubs can be.

My dad was at a pro shop one time, asked a guy working there why they are so expensive, and the guy said with a smile “because folks will pay that much for them.”

When I bought my latest driver (TaylorMade), I just waited several months until the price went down, and then I got a pre-owned one.

I don’t know how to get a discount. If it’s in high demand you might not be able to find any. But I do love discounts, and when I can’t find them, I just wait on things like a driver and the price will eventually come down. Just think, if you could buy this driver in 9 months for $ 250? What could you do with the $ 250 you saved? :o )

Good luck to you.

Answered by wbaker777
Titleist will not allow discounts on their products until very late in the year. If you see a discounted Titleist product ……well….I’d be very wary for sure
Answered by Leafsfan29
Like Ping, Titleist is pretty strict about what they permit.

You “may” be able to find a demo driver on the cheap.

Otherwise…either wait until the end of the season, or pay your $ 500.

Question
They both hit almost exactly the same. I want to know what driver is more consistent and which one hits further. Also, can I change the degree of loft on the R11? Thanks.
Answered by green_lantern66
If they hit “almost exactly the same”, how would one be more consistent or longer? Truth is, there isn’t much difference between the two, other than cosmetics and sound. The key is to be properly fitted to the driver of your choice- you do that, it won’t matter what brand you play, it’ll be the longest, most consistent driver for your specific needs.
Answered by Rick W
I’m not sure how long you’ve been playing golf but I’ve noticed that over the years I would gladly sacrifice 5-10 yards per drive if it came with the confidence that I chose the driver that best suits my game. With technology the way it is, you could hook up every new driver to a machine and probably only see 5-10 yards difference from one brand to the next. See if you can demo both of them for more than just a few minutes and find the one that you feel most confident with. If you don’t feel confident with the club you are holding, it doesn’t matter how far you can hit it. Put it in the fairway!!!!

Remember, a 300 yard drive and a 3-inch putt count the same on the card……Fairways and greens.

I play the D3 and I LOVE it, but I’d play the D2 if I were you. A little more forgiving and easier to hit. Go through all the different shafts too, that’s 90% of the golf club. I hit the R11, liked it, but thought it was a little too much for me. Lovin the D3 more than anything I’ve EVER hit. Good luck. Great adjustability too (if you’re into that sorta thing, wasn’t a deal breaker for me, hence why I didn’t care for the R11)

I think Titleist 910 driver might be my gamer this year. Probably one of the best drivers Ive hit with the RIP shaft. R11 is good but IMO this one is alot better. You get quality with this driver.
