Question
I’m a mid to high handicapper
Age 16
Swing Speed of 92
Height 6″

I was thinking Callaway’s x-20? Nike Slingshot OSS? Titleist 755 Forged Irons, King Cobra S9. Any recommendations?

I would suggest a set of ping. Also go get them custom fit for you. They are easy to hit…and very…very forgiving. If your looking to save money you can get a knockoff set 3-pw for around $ 150.00 I personally would get the real ping’s…

go to good pro shop in your neighborhood and get fitted. pro shop will let you try several different clubs and will analyze your swings and will custome fit a club for you. you can have any brand name club customize and will not cost you anything. They are going to be same price as otc., you just have to wait a week or two for them. that is really best way.

when you custome fit, they customize the length of club, lie angle of club, grips and etc.

have fun with your new club.

I agree with the other answerers who say to go get fitted by a local pro. They’ll be able to match you up with a good set.

Attached is a link from Golf Digest’s Hot List for the 2007 irons in case you’re interested to see how they rated the different brands.

Question
I just purchased a set of AP2′s on ebay from a very reputable seller with 100% feedback and over 1700 sales. He has given me the serial number on the irons but i do not know where to look to see if they are real. anyone know how to do this? any help would be great. thanks

find customer service number from titleist web site. call customer service that will verify clubs, date of manufacture and were sold . also hit them up for customer service package. new hat sleeve balls . head cover. product catalogue good luck
Answered by Jon V
Go to Titleist’s Website and register the clubs. You won’t be able to register the irons if the serial number is a fake. You will have to make an account but it is worth it.
Question
what is the difference between the titleist 755 and 755cb irons? Also what other iron sets are similar to these?
Answered by shri2151
Forged 755 irons feature a slightly lower CG position for an easy initial launch and a medium-high flight for excellent control and maneuverability. Its a Forged 410 Stainless Steel, Forged T-6 6061 Aluminum Vibration Dampening Chip.

Forged 775.CB irons feature a blended set design with oversize, multi-material channel back long irons that seamlessly transition to mid-size short irons to maximize playability with shot control. Its too Forged 410 Stainless Steel.

600, 695MB, 695CB, 735.CM & 755 are similiar feature with 755 & 755CB series.

Question
I have had them for 10 months and have played them approximately 50 rounds of golf, I have taken really good care of them and would rank them a 9.5 out of 10. What is a reasonable asking price for this set of irons? The specs are all standard.
I edited my profile

  1. Vegas Matt says:

Check out KZ Golf. They are top quality clubs and have many different styles to choose from to match your swing and ability. They are custom clubs, so shafts, grips, lie angles and lofts will be selected just for you at no extra charge. Their line of forged clubs are even cheaper than most of the brands you are looking at (irons will be $ 600-700, total). Also, they are NOT knock-offs like some custom fit clubs, just a small company.

Look on their website and see if they have a fitter in your area.
