Taylormade drivers/fairway woods – Which is best for a fast swing speed… burner high launch or tour?
Question
I went to Roger Dunn to get fitted for clubs. He told me that I have a 105-115 swing speed and I can normally hit a 7 iron around 155. The person put me in TM Burner Plus irons, Burner 2008 Fairway Woods, and 2009 Burner driver. All of the clubs are stiff flex. Ive been looking to replace my 4 iron with a 4 hybrid and I was looking at TM website and it was stating that all of the drivers and woods are for slow swing speeds. Should I upgrade to a “tour” series or go to R9 series since its for faster swing speeds? tyvm for your time.
Answered by John
You should try R9′s. personally I think it’s much better than the burner
Answered by TEACHER
Is your game ready for tour series clubs, if you need a 4 hybrid for a 4 iron stick with what you brought, they will aid your game more now.
Answered by tfewster
I would go the “tour” as i think they will match your swing speed better.

but you can tried Taylormade burner 07
Question
for example, if companies like Taylormade have their “Burner” line of 1-woods, is it wise to get Burner 3 and 5-woods (as they would have the same qualities that brought you to the driver)?
Similarly, should your 3, 5 and 7 woods match up aswell?
Answered by Tirata B
Probably choose them as a same spec.
Answered by Adela S
Maybe you should get the same model.

Its a personal choice. But i have the burner driver, fairway woods, hybird, and XD irons. But i went through club after club after club testing them out, seeing if i liked them. It just so happened that i liked the whole taylormade burner line.
Answered by wbaker777
A lot of folks these days seem to buy everything from the same manufacturer. Some do it because their buddies all play the same brand…..Others do it because they have done all the research and hit all the clubs…..Should you do it? Its a matter of personal choice.
Answered by kwshannon1
My driver is not the same brand as my fairway woods. I went after the best equipment for my swing.

Agree that it is a personal choice. Try them all. I have a Titleist driver, Adams 3 wood and Hogan hybrids. Good luck
Its a personal choice. But i have the burner driver, fairway woods, hybird, and R7 Draw Club sets. Right now I just trade-in my R7 club sets to Callaway Big Bertha.
No not at all.
For example what if you have a Burner Driver you can smash, but you try the 3 wood and you just don’t like the feel of it, or you don’t hit it aswell as a Mizuno 3-wood?
It’s down to personal preference. Go and try them out
No.. find a club that match your swing. Not to look good.
Not necessarily, the driver is the only club you hit when you get to put the ball on a tee, so it is different from all other clubs. You should try different fairway woods and see which perform best for you. They may or may not be the same brand as your driver.
Ermmmm not necessarily you would have to try it first along side other demo fairway woods
