Question
i am going to buy a ping g 10 3 wood with the proforce v2 shaft. does anyone know how heavy the stock v2 shaft is?
Answered by smierzy
If I am not mistaken , the V2 comes in 67g and 76g normally, I believe they make an 85g and a 105g as well but you have to custom order those weights.
Question
Hey, can anyone tell me about the G10 3 wood from Ping? Is it good, bad, etc? I have a handicap of 26, and I am a male.
Answered by Penand T
Ping is a very good golf company, and I think their clubs suit higher handicaps very well. The G10 has a slightly bigger clubhead to add forgiveness and offset to reduce that push/slice. I think it would be a great club for you.

But if you go to buy a club, make sure to get a custom fitting session, it helps a lot in determining what is the best shaft/head combination for you.

Hope I helped:)

www.pinggolf.com, they can tell you all, personally i will never trade my ping unless its for a newer model.

Ping is a great company. I love my G5s. Most places that sell Ping have a place for you to test hit.

You will probably have to be custom fitted anyway. Take some swings with it and see how it goes.

the new ping G10 fairway woods are the best out in my opinion as of right now. i work at a golf shop and i have seen numerous amounts of ping G10 clubs get sold! for your handicap this would be an excellent club for you… make sure you get the grafaloy red shaft in it tho, because the stock shafts in the clubs suck. you will be very very very happy with this club!
Answered by think about it
only good for females sorry. No really probably a very nice club Shaft is very important as well as loft. Truthfully for a powerful middle handicapper a 14 deg reg flex shaft would work very nice but they dont make that. Go with the standard stiff 15 deg club Experiment at a golf store to find the right club for you.
Question
I am a relatively good golfer (8 handi) who never paid much attention to shafts out side of the driver. I am getting a new 3 wood and my shaft choices are Adilla NVS 55, 65 or VS80 Proto. I know I need a stiff but not sure what the weighting on a 3 wood should be. Thanks
Answered by vdrive_60
I’d go with the Aldila NV 65 (grams), and you can get this in stiff or extra stiff. But steel is always a good option for your fairway woods. Steel gives you a little more control so you can shape your shots.
Answered by doingitright44
not sure if you do this yourself but I just got the new Cleveland Hi bore fairway woods (switched from ping) and rescue and for the fairways my guys (at Keplers a custom/repair shop) cut the shaft back to fit me and weighted me D3…not exactly sure what shaft youre getting or what suits your swing but at a custom/repair shop they will be able to tell you exactly what your optimum swing weight and club set up should be by analyzing your swing…good luck and putt well!
Answered by Spartan Golfer
If you are an 8 handicap, and you need a stiff shaft, the Vs Proto will be perfect. The Aldila is 55, or 65 grams, the same, or less than what your driver shat weighs, so you want your woods to have a heavier shaft than the driver. The VS Proto is preffered by better players. And if you’re getting it for no extra charge, that’s great because alone, that shaft sells for $ 180.

I hope this will help you out.

Question
I am looking to get a new threewood should I go with the new ping g15 or get the older ping g10 model?

Well this is a tough one. Right now I play a g10 3 wood. Although I have tried out the new g15 3 wood and the difference between the two is very minimal. Depending on your swing the difference might be minuscule. The only way to know for sure is to hit them both at a golf shop. You might be able to save some money and go with the g10.
