Scotty Cameron by Titleist, also right up there are the Bettenardi’s. But both are very expensive, and putting is mostly about feel so whatever feels best to the individual is the best for them.
Answered by James L
Yes! I think, I got one some years ago with very low price, around US$ 100, but now it is much expansive as it become famous around the tournament
Answered by wallace_state
Putters are a strange animal. Often times if something looks good to you then you will be successful with it, weather it was a $ 300 Scotty Cameron or a $ 25 Wal-Mart special. But Scotty’s are pretty much considered the best that there is. They are soft and come in many different models and colors. If you look hard enough you can find one that was hand-made by Scotty Himself…pretty sweet.
Answered by Jeff M
Scotty Cameron is probably the putter that is most consistently named as an answer to this question right now. Lots of tour players playing them this year. A couple other hot names are Odyssey and White Hot.

That said, it really only matters what feels best to you. Drivers and putters are the two clubs that are most personal to a golfer. If you don’t feel comfortable and confident with the club in your hand, it’s not worth a dime.

See if you can find a local pro shop or sporting goods store that will let you demo their clubs, and try as many as you can! Concentrate on the weight and feel, the sound and feedback at impact, and of course how well the ball responds to your putting action.

The main differences:

Length of shaft – do you prefer a traditional length, or the longer “belly” putters?

Blade vs Mallet – most models are being produced in both a narrow blade format as well as the thicker mallet style. See which one you respond best to.

Question
We are using this as a slogan to put on a back of a t-shirt for the longest putt winner for a golf outing.

Big Johnson Putter “You’ll always reach the hole when you’re stroking a Big Johnson”
Question
Thanks, but I don’t require advise to consult a pro shop. Please only answer if you have an actual answer (in inches!). This is a beginner golfer.
Answered by sentinel106
I think you should go to a golf pro-shop and have them tell you.

Go to a golf shop and have her try different ones. Some may be comfortable the way they are.
Answered by wow_rmkr
definatly depends on her putter stroke and stance, I would either go to am mega type store and try lots of different lengths until she is comfortable with one, or try a pro shop.
Answered by Irish
im 6 foot and use a 32″ putter because i like to get over the ball. I’d say about a 30″ would be perfect. Like phil mickelson is 6ft 1″ and he uses a 29″ putter

My persenal favorite is the never compromise putter. The weights on the bottom make you feel like you have a million putters in your hand. I use this putter, my father, and my 2 cuzes and we love them. You have to get model #5. DO NOT BUY SCOTTY CAMERON THEY MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR HITTING ROCKS!

odyssey black series is the best out there

The one that helps you sink putts.

What I mean by that is that what I think is great may not be the right one for you. I have a Ping and a Cameron (Titleist), and swear by them. Odyssey makes great putters, as does Yes!, the Taylor Made Rossa’s are nice as well.

I’d say try a few different models/styles, and see which one suits you the best.

  4. googie says:

This is one club for which no one brand is outstanding. The best putter is the one which feels right in your hand, feels good for stroking both short and long putts, has balance and the club in which you have confidence. The new ones configured like crooked garden spades or with 3 or 2 ball line up features are fads and haven’t improved putting for the players I know.So , much of putting is confidence and the ability to read greens as to speed, grain and direction.
