I probably going to get it. I also contacted Odyssey. Just wanted to see if anyone received one. Also….
Odyssey or Scotty Cameron??????????????????????
Answered by reidandsmythltd
yes all Odyssey putter come with a head cover
Answered by HeyItsWill511
Most Odyssey putters come with headcovers.
Answered by green_lantern66
Unless you buy it off Ebay and they say “no headcover”, it SHOULD come with one.

As for Odyssey v. Cameron… that’s a toss up. Neither is better than the other. SC’s are made from either aluminum or 303 (or 304) stainless steel… fairly soft. Odyssey’s have face inserts: the XG/Ice are fairly soft, the White Steel is firm. The “Tour” series have firmer faces. So you have a few things to think about:

1. Is the putter the right length?
2. what do you like to see at address? Some people like the Anser style, others prefer something different.
3. what kind of sound do you like to hear when you contact the ball?
4. How much do you want to spend?

That’s it. There’s a reason why they make so many different putters… there’s so many golfers with varying tastes.

a putter is a putter is a putter. If you want to know which one has a better feel for you, go to a golf shop and test them out

neither one

The white hot xg srt 2 has upgrades in design and color
Answered by Connor
The Odyssey White Hot XG is a newer putter, so it has upgrades. I like it better, that’s why I bought the White Hot XG #9. The white steel has a normal, non milled face, but then has a grey insert “sticker” on the face. The XG looks a little nicer, plus has a milled face, and a sort of a “double insert.” It has a large insert pretty much across the entire face, and has a textured one on top of the other. Long story short, the XG has a softer feel. If you like a harder feel, but the white steel, or maybe get a model without an insert, like the Ping putters. Check them out. If you want a softer feel, then go with the White Hot.
Question
I putted both of them with the #1 style and loved them both. Can anybody tell me the major difference between the two besides the appearance and price tag?
Answered by Dick
Both are excellent putter, you may just find that the white hot is a little more forgiving.
Answered by green_lantern66
like the above said, the face on the Black Series i is a little more firm- it also has a little more going on with it- tungsten weighting and the heads are made out of different metals. Other than that, however, it doesn’t look like anything incredibly significant.
Answered by no idea?????
go with black series. heavier head allows more feel on public golf courses. the tour super fast greens. just not enough feel for public courses or vast majority of country clubs. you will enjoy the game more with the black series. good luck happy putting.

I’d always been wondering because it has a headcover that all the blade putters in Odyssey’s tour line have, but it sure doesn’t look like a blade.

It’s a blade
Answered by Poortom38
The #9 putter in the Odyssey White Hot Tour Series is a toe-weighted, heel-shafted, flanged blade with a long hosel and a half-shaft offset.

that is what is classified as a mid-mallet, not quite a mallet not quite a blade

The White Hot has a softer face than the White Steel. How this influences your ability to putt is up to you.

  2. osufan0987 says:

it is considered a blade because the back of it is not very long.
