Question
90% of 18 handicap and above hit the ball thin I mean don’t take divot, hit the ball really decent with 7 iron, use hybrid to assure more than 180 yards shot secure. struggle with 5,4,3 iron 3wood and driver.
work hard to improve. but reality is. length of shaft is indirectly proportional with the accuracy of the shot. I mean shorter shaft more accuracy. I am not just talking. This is a three years enquiry in more than 30 club in England.
why not same length of shaft and different weight and loft . the radius of the swing will be the same only change the loft of the face and the weight, this(the weight) will be important aspect of the speed of the swing to get distance

Getting fit for a set of clubs sounds like something to look into. I am a club fitter and we can work wonders for you but in order for us to help we have to see angles and use tape to figure out what is going on with your swing. Sometimes it doesn’t matter what brand club you get. It might just be length lie and grip. Hope this helps
Answered by zack
i say go with a hybrid iron set or cavity backs, but also like the first answer get fitted but for clubs go with hybrid class teaches you how to hit plus work on ur downswing by taking good divots :)
Answered by Jason G
Brands like Nike, Mizuno, Ping, Callaway, TaylorMade, Cleveland, Adams, and Cobra make equipment for all levels of play. Titleist tends to cater more toward the accomplish player, but their AP1 irons are in the game improvement category. Get hybrids to replace your 3, 4, and 5 irons since you struggle with them. A 3 hybrid and a 3 iron are the same loft. No need to have the same club in your bag. I suggest lessons to help you with your game if you cannot figure it out for yourself. You can get custom fitted to your clubs as well.
Answered by Ryan
Exactly what Karla said is the corect thing to do. you should get fitted and ask you club pro or golfsmith worker what they think is a good match for your swing..
Answered by Robert
i use cavity irons, i want to get a taylor burner rescue 3 4 because i can’t get my shots in the air. and when at last i think i found the club i want, i start getting my shots in the air. so i would say mental, factor take a long easy swing and its going to start looking good for you
Question
Hey… i just went to the driving range and swung a golf club for the first time in my life… i was quite erratic (as expected) and didnt middle them often.. but i hit quite a few balls quite far… I hit one ball 262 Yards.. how good is that??
Answered by GOLFING LEGEND
that is really good for a first timer. a little to good to believe. it might have looked that far but it actually didnt go that far, but if it did amazing shot
Answered by ALEX
raj I said it only went 262 feet
Answered by sno f
i think somebody pulled aprank on you and painted a 7 on your driver!
Answered by knh959
Raj, Raj, Raj. Give your head a shake son. Even Tiger can’t hit a 7 iron 262 yards.
Answered by josh214
haha no way… like the other guy said you may have think it went that far but it didn’t. no one on tour hits a 7 iron that far…
Question
Answered by Franky D
That is not a question. A question is an interrogative statement. Yours is a senseless statement. How do golf clubs become obsolete?

King Cobras are GREAT! They make very forgiving clubs geared toward the higher handicap players but are also a well known PGA tour brand. You won’t go wrong with Cobras. If you’re looking for a cheaper set, go with the Fp2. They are an older set of irons (about three years old now) but are great. They have a deep cavity back and a large face for maximum forgiveness. If you want some newer ones, try the SZ or S2 set. They also make great drivers. The S91 drivers are great as are the S2 drivers. Same with the 3 and 5 woods. They have a large sweet spot for forgiveness and are great feeling clubs. They are also very affordable. If you want to go for a little less forgiving iron, the Titleist AP1 are great but I don’t suggest you use a Titleist driver yet. Hope this helps!!

For a 7 Iron, this would be a MONSTER shot…

Amateur long hitters will hit a 7 iron about 150 yards.

I know one bloke who hits the 7 iron 180 yards, but this is touching professional golfers distances.
