Question
I’m looking at a Nike Sumo2 golf driver and it has the above shaft on it. Wondering if this will work for me…I drive about 250 and have a speed of about 100 – 110.
Answered by mirasdad
It works for me but I don’t swing as fast as that.
Answered by ACB
Your swingspeed is in the right range for the ‘By You’ stiff.

This is an impossible question to answer without seeing your actual swing, but if you are a fan of a “low spin” shaft, this is a good choice. The Sumo2 is also a nice forgiving club – it very well could be a great combo for you.

Question

More than likely, it’s a woman’s flex shaft.
Answered by green_lantern66
I agree with the “woman” line… it means that it has more flex (even more so since it’s a “made for” version). If it works for you, there’s no reason to change it. If it bugs you, you can always see a club fitter/builder to see what your options are.
Answered by Bob Saget
The W stands for Woman’s flex. A driver or wood with a W flex bends closer to the club head and is for players with slow club head speeds.
Question
I bought the club last August new. I was wondering if i could send it in to Nike to repair for free.
The dent is on the top/side, where the three plates meet. Will Nike fix it for free? I bought it brand new last August.
Answered by James D
Im not sure exactly. some body at our countryclubs nike ingnite dented and they sent it back. im not sure about warranty tho or if it costs anything
Answered by rogue
I would first talk to the shop where you bought the club. They can advise you on options you might have. Or call Nike explain the situation and see if they will replace the head. Don’t send it to Nike without getting a reference number!
Answered by Jake
I would definately send it to Nike. Go to the store where you purchased it and check to see if they can do anything for you. (They may give you a new one and then send it to Nike themselves, you will probably need proof that you bought it there though) If they can’t then I would get the number for Nike’s Customer Service. Once you do that, call them and see what they can do for you. Then, once you ask them, send it in and just wait for it to return. Chances are, they may give you a new driver worth the current value, because they may not be able to fix it.
Answered by GARY C
As some of the other answers point out you should in the first instance go to the shop where you purchased the club from.
If it makes you feel any better this is a common fault with modern day clubs and it has happended top myself twice!!!
I returned the clubs back and they were replaced without question. I was informed by the sales assistant that it is very common. The modern day driver face and structure is so thin to allow the massive head size. The down side to this is that the club can sometimes fould or cave in just through regular use. Im sure you wont have been the first to return the club so dont worry about taking it back it might seem strange to you i was worried to but theyve seen it all before and should be aware of the fault. most drivers are actually covered for two years. Take it back and if you have any problems an email or letter to the head office should do the trick hope this helps.gary.
Answered by John H
I know that this is not the answer you wanted but make sure you put the head cover back on the club before you put the club back in the bag. My dad did that to his Ignite driver and it was caused from it hitting another club in his bag. Just a warning to others
Question
i just bought a new nike sasquatch driver (golf) and when i hit the ball sparks come off of the club face is this normal?
Answered by bao187
are you hitting on rocks or concrete or metal golf balls?
Answered by Big Buddy
I’ve seen sparks before when I hit a golf ball but I think it’s from the mat – i really don’t know exactly what it’s from but it has happened to me also
Answered by |ATN|JONO
You must be hitting somthing its not when you hit the ball, but its when you hit somthing on the floor like a little stone or something

it shouldnt do that but ya you might get it 4 free but it might cost about 20$

  2. Daren M says:

    The simple answer is “no”.

But it happens, and really, its not a big deal.

Any driver, including the SasQuatch, will create a spark when contact is made with something as small as a grain of sand.

You really want to avoid making contact with the ground using a driver because you will

    1. scratch the driver’s face
    2. knock the head lose from the shaft.

The driver should sweep the ball at the bottom of your swing, so
instead of an up and down ” V ” swing, imagine more of a bottomed out ” U ” swing.

    Good luck!
