Question
My brother just broke my pitching wedge and 5 iron today while golfing and it got me thinking. My clubs are old, probably from the 80′s, because io got them from my grandpa.
So id like to buy some new ones but i don’t know whats considered good for something under 200 bucks.
I figured i’d just get some of ebay, but like i said i don’t know whats good.

Go to Golfsmith and look at the complete sets they have, most are made by their brand, Zevo, and are good clubs for someone on a budget.

I recently purchased a set of Ben Hogan BH-5 irons and was totally surprised. Lots of distance and very easy to hit. I got a set 3-PW for about $ 170 on callawaygolfpreowned.com and recieved my new set in two days. Awesome price for a set that brand new was well over $ 600. Hope this helps

Im not a beginner, but its been some time since I had my own golf set. I have no idea what to look for in golf clubs, I just hit! Any advice regarding which brand to go for?
Ideally, id like a full set, but if Irons are the way to go, ill grab a cheap bag and get a set of irons.
(P.s Im a big hitter but have still yet to work on accuracy)

Any name brand club will be found on ebay and you should be looking for a good used set to fit your budget. Look for Callaway, Ping, Taylor Made, and you’ll find something nice and at your price. Try not to be lured by web sites that promise name brands at hard to believe prices. These sites are not to be believed. Good luck in getting your perfect set.

I suggest swinging a few different makes and models at a local pro shop, if you can. Once you find one or more sets that you like, start looking online at discount pro shops ( my favorite is Rock Bottom Golf: http://rockbottomgolf.com ) for the best deal.
I would avoid eBay unless you are 100% confident in your seller (lots of positive feedback, many good CLOSEUP pictures, etc) because of the frequency of knock-offs and other scams inherent in the online auction industry.
