Answered by Goalgee
It’s not really the quality of the club. Rather, it’s the quality of the swing.
Your swing simulates the oscillation of a pendulum and the length of the string determines the kinetic energy. Therfore try holding your club a little longer and make sure you’re arms are at the longest length possible when swinging.
Another goal is to not start off swinging as hard as you can when you practice. Form is the key to success. If you’ll notice Tiger’s track record, he started to improve greatly when he started to perfect his form more.

Remember, you’re not trying to beat the living daylights out of the ball. You’re giving the ball a big push.

I play the Taylormade Burner and its designed to give distance. Thay took some weight out of the grip and shaft. The head of the club is bullet-shaped to promote faster swing speed therefore giving you more distance.
Answered by Mitch D
i would have to agree with this guy either the clevlend hibore or the taylormade superquad they are both excellent drivers and i highly reccomend them both
Answered by daniel s
noone can answer this for you we all have different swing speeds and different swings go to golf galaxy or golfsmith and try a few different clubs with different shaft combos the shaft is the most important thing in club so try as many as you like the golf galaxy guys will put you on their machine and it will tell you the launch angle spin off the club etc etc and carry distance just experiment and you will find the right one for you good luck

they should be farely easy to scrub off (if top marks are what i am thinking of)
Answered by donssmith1
Believe it or not WD-40 is an excellent cleaning substance. I’ve used this to clean up many things. If the club is scratched then there’s really nothing you can do about that.

Thanks,
Don

I have always had luck with warm soapy water, a wash cloth, and elbow greasy
Question
I can shoot all my other clubs, including fairway woods and hybrids, just fine. But for some reason I have an atrocious habit of hitting the top of the driver head, causing a dent. I don’t do it every swing, closer to 1 in 20 or so, But it is enough to put a crack in my driver within 2 months of playing. Does anyone know any common( or uncommon) mistakes in a golf swing that causes this?
Answered by Yates
Keep your head down throughout your entire stroke. Lifting up causes your shoulders to rise as well then the club head, which can cause you to top it. KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN!
As well maybe try teeing the ball high or at address keep the club grounded. Good Luck.
Answered by Lefty
Tee it lower is a quick fix, but can cause other problems. As a rule of thumb, half of the ball should be above the driver at adress. the rest of it shoulf be below the topline of the driver, in line with the face.

Try to hit the ball on your upswing. it will also make you hit it further.

Answered by Jason Jennings
usually it is because you have the ball teed up too high.
Answered by Jake
You must have had your ball teed up way too high. If you dont want the ball to hit the top of your driver, you want the ball to be half way above your driver face. Then tilt your shoulders back (just a little bit), so you can get the ball up in the air easier, and it makes you more confident in your swing. If you do that, your driver’s “Sweet spot” will hit the ball, rather than its top. Good luck!
Question
How do you remove a small golf ball size dent from the top of a golf club driver ? I have an expensive club .
Answered by x-15a2
You can’t do it yourself, you need to find a club refinisher, they may be able to correct it for you, but you’ve probably ruined the crown of the club.
Answered by RHYS!
smack it on the other side

then there will be two equal dents and noone will notice!

Answered by jasonseidman
very likely, the dent can not be removed. If it is a dummy mark you can try to have someone refinish it, but its next to impossible to repair a dent and maintain playability
Answered by purplebanana123456789
you get the head of your club changed
Answered by Golflectual
You don’t, unfortunately.
Question
Answered by tampico135s
either get better clubs or stop being abusive to the ones you own now.
Answered by Coop
Tee it down lower, and quit trying to swing so danged hard!
Answered by buckswillmakeplayoffs
u are teeing it up to high.
Answered by STEVE S
are your clubs made of alloy or stainless steel?if alloy then this is a common problem they have weaknesses in them that if hit too hard they can break.just take them back to the shop and get stainless ones.if u have got stainless then are u slamming the club into the bag after an errant shot? if so they can be smashing into the irons in the bag causing the cracking

because you buy built your own clubs

taylormade drivers are hands down # 1 in golf. If you’re not playing one, you’re playing with inferior equipment

The top driver for distance is the GeekGolf.com “This” driver. GeekGolf.com is consistantly winnly the LD contests.

  4. yankeenut says:

er.. i’ll say the club is history man.. gotta get another driver. no way to repair the dent. even if you could get that repaired, the ball striking wouldnt be sweet.

  5. johnmiriani@sbcglobal.net says:

go to the golf center you go to and ask them to send the club back to the maker and see if they will make it good …. most golf club manufactures will replace the club if it falls under normal wear and tear….if not you can buy a new head and have it put onto the old shaft….should be around 125.00

  6. gods_chief_pilot says:

slow down your swing and tee it lower only the top 5-15% of the ball should be above the club head

  7. Brian M says:

Assume that crcaking was supposed to be cracking and by that you mean you are using a wooden head tha cracks on top. If that is the case you must practice a lot at the range on mats. You have a steep arm swing that causes you to hit the mat after you hit the ball. The vibration that result build up over time and eventually the wood cracks. This must be a used inferior driver to start with. Buy a metal drive. Metal cannot crack.Move the ball forward in your stance so that you fit the ball on the upswing. Reduce the steepness of you swing by flatten out the plane (take the club back wider and lower).
If by cracking you are referring to the shaft and not the club head the same solutions should help but you need steel rather than graphite.

  8. Joseph M says:

Try swinging around your body more and less up. You need to have a flatter swing and tee the ball lower
