Question
Other then lead tape is there any other way that will not affect the overall dynamics of the club
Answered by ju_ty
huh
Answered by golfinguy79
Lead tape is the only way to change the weight of the head. Unless you buy a driver with movable weight technology like the TaylorMade series.
Answered by x-15a2
Sorry, lead weight is the only way, short of drastic modifications that would permanently alter (and likely ruin) the head.
Answered by cheatrules24
if you have taylormade you can buy weights or you can buy one of those little donuts to put on the club.
Answered by Philly
Here’s my problem with weights on a club.

You will only feel the difference after 10 or so swings. Then your muscles get accustomed to the new weight and it’s like you never put the weight in the first place.

My advice is to just work with the club you have now and make your adjustments accordingly.

Question
Im 6’2 male with some experience, played a few times and 21 years old. Im very athletic and will pick the game up quick, especially since i plan on playing very often this summer. I have a driver, but i need a set of irons and a putter. I would like the best deal I can get for 250$ range. Where should i go (i was thinking ebay) and getting used clubs, new seems like a waste of money. But any advice would be good.
Answered by Billysucksatgolf R
There’s deals all over the place! If you go to rockbottomgolf.com they have crazy deals. They have Callaway Irons for like 300 bucks. 3ballsgolf.com has great preowned stuff too! You can get some awesome deals in the price range you’re looking for. I would definitely go for something that’s a game improver to start off. Look for a thicker soul, thicker top line. Play these for a year old two, master them, move on.
Answered by green_lantern66
Whichever you choose- the “big boys” (Callaway, Nike, Cleveland, etc.) all make high-quality products. Component brands, available from Wishon Technologies, Hireko and Golfsmith (among others) also make quality products. So if they all make good stuff, where do you turn?

Go see a professional fitter- hopefully someone that either has ALL the brands’ flags flying, or none at all (there’d be no biases that way). The fitter will do his/her absolute best to get you into a brand/model that is perfect for your swing characteristics. They can also work within your budget, and still give you a quality product.

If you plan on continuing to play the game, i would reccomend custom clubs. this will allow a perfect fit club with all the game improving elements of the brand name clubs, but without the brand name price. The price of a set of custom irons and a custom putter will run you about 250$ -275$ and they will be brand new, and custom built and designed to your needs. i would check out www.golferschoicecustomclubs.com to get more information or if you have any questions.

Need extra large club head, and under 100 bucks..tell me where you bought yours?
Answered by The cool kid
First if you want a big head you need a 460cc head. If you are looking for something new you can try wall mart or target. But if you are looking for name brand eBay is your best bet.

Question
What are the best drivers, woods, irons, wedges, and putters for a 14 year old boy on the golf team?
Answered by JB H
whatever feels, looks, and if you can demo, plays the best for you
Answered by berryv1
My friend this is actually the fun part , there is no Best Set , you need to Demo all the clubs you can get ahold of , just go to your local Driving Range or golf superstore and try all brands of clubs till you find the ones you feel most comfortable with then you get fitted ( which is the most important thing of all ) then your off !!!! Good Luck in finding that Best Set for you ! and Good Luck with the Golf Team.

Question
I recently turned 14 years old and my height is about 5’3″ I am pretty short for my age. I’ve gone through a lot of junior golf sets, and they are not long enough for me now. I’m looking into buying a new set of clubs. I’m wondering what the best clubs for me would be, ladies or mens? Any specific clubs/brands you recommend? I can afford a nice set of clubs. I need a full set of clubs; wedges, irons, woods, a putter, and a driver. I’m an average golfer for my age and usually par or bogey holes. I’m starting to golf a lot more and I’ve really come to like the game. I want a nice driver, I’m not into used/cheapo clubs, but I do not want to get the fanciest set there is, and break the bank.
I’m not a beginner, I’ve been playing since I was young, now I need a better quality set.
Answered by LEXO
Hello, I am 14 years old also :-) .

I you’re a beginner, you might want to use graphite: Ladies or Senior clubs. These are lightweight and flexible. If you do not wish to buy/use them, you can buy men’s regular golf clubs. (I am curently usin Wilson Staff Ci7) And I am very happy with them.

The key “ingredients”

- Buy clubs with regular shafts

- Buy clubs with a big head (maby hybrid clubs)

- Test the clubs before buying them

You can buy them on: www.golfonline.co.uk or www.onlinegolf.co.uk

Okay well if you say that your a bogey golfer then you obviously have some kind of a good swing, i would say to buy a set of clubs that have some sort of a cavity back to them. The ping gi5′s or gi10′s are great clubs, they are very soft and have forgivness to them. Another set of irons that are good are the titliest ap2′s they are soft and forgiving also. For woods and drivers i would suggest going to a driving range where they have alot of demo clubs and try out what driver and fairway woods you hit the best and feel the most comfortable with. For wedges you need to buy wedges with a bonce of 10 or above. and for the putter, its whatever you feel more comfortable with. GOOD LUCK

We most likely will answer this question another hundred times. Never buy golf clubs , sight unseen. Go to the local Salvation Army, Good Will, Thrift shop and see if they are offering any sets. If not, get to the local sporting goods store or golf shop, see what is being offered, swing the clubs, if there is a practice mat hit some practice balls. You should also be feeling the weight of that club head at the end of the shaft. Good Luck on your purchase.

Lead tape is the only way unless you get a Taylormade r7 driver.

  3. gods_chief_pilot says:

id go with the Taylor made r7 and add washers for extra weight
or lead tape, u can put ballbearings and cover it with tape that works too

  4. Beastmaster says:

lead tape. Golfsmth or the PGA Tour Superstore sell adhesive strips that increase the swing weight by one oint per piece.

  5. Gimmy says:

Callaway x22 irons and Titleist Scotty Cameron Newport 2 putter are the best Choice. You can buy it from ordergolfonline.com

  6. Golf Guy says:

When I started golf I purchased my complete set bag/putter included from Big5. My point is this, u can buy a quality set from Big5, Wal-Mart, Target, Sports Authority/Chalet etc… what u want to look 4 are the sets that r sponsored/endorsed by a professional golfer like John Daley/Jack Nicholas etc… They will not lend their name to companies that sell “junk” so they tend to b of better quality in a reasonable price range. 7 years later I still own them and use them as backup/travel clubs and my real set is Cleveland but only after playing and having a feel for what I wanted do 2 my playing style… Until u start playing and understand the game these starter sets are the way to go… these “brand names” others suggest will cost u over $ 1000 to get what u need. the starter sets all included r around $ 150, a good price to invest to start with… PS: my step dad is 5’4 and uses womens clubs because the length is good. don’t concern ur self with men/womens clubs for now it is about fit/feel and only u will know…see u on the course..

  7. Taylor says:

I am 14 years old and these are some good clubs for anyone. I would recommend getting a..
    TaylorMade Tour Burner Driver
    TaylorMade Burner 3&5 Woods
    TaylorMade Burner Irons
TaylorMade rac chrome 56 and 60 degree wedges
and an Odyssey straight shaft 2 ball putter.
If you want to find them a bit cheaper, then get them used and most of the time you can get some pretty nice used clubs at a reasonable price.
