I have a mizuno TP Mills Graphite putter, or something along those lines, and I noticed it had built up some spots of rust…I feel bad because I got it as a gift…looking to see if any golfers out there ever encountered this problem…thanks all

get some chrome polisher…it should come off with a couple of strokes.

baking soda, works the best, or tooth paste with high tr20 in it.

I put baking soda in water and use a club brush, or rag and scrub it. Then later on I do it again just to be safe.

Scotty Cameron Putters – what does this mean Head Material: 303SS/GSS?
Question
What does it mean when a material is precision milled from 303 stainless steel with a German Stainless Steel (GSS) inlay.

How is this different from an all stainless steel putter. What is the difference between German SS and 303 SS?

303 stainless is a fairly workable, austenitic steel. The difference between the two stainless are minimal but I would imagine the German would be a bit harder. Like many of Scotty’s stuff, it’s a fine club, waaaay overpriced.

303 stainless steel if soft and ply-able…GSS is even softer. Cameron putters are junk…the only reason you see so many on Tour, is, Scotty, pays big bucks, for players to use them. And they are not even close to what the consumer has available to them…Chinese made, welded necks, low tolerance’s.

Buy a, Bettinardi, high quality, completely made in the USA, made of a solid piece of stainless steel, CNC milled by 6 dimensional milling machine. And Tour players play stock putters!

Second choice…Kevin Burns Putters…they are the “Mac Daddy” of custom putters! Pricey!

I know the insert vs. the milled but what is the difference in feel and performance and which one is more worthwhile? Also, what is the best feeling/performing odyssey black series putter? What do they offer in terms of weighting, feel, and roll/distance control compared to other brands like scotty cameron etc.?

Well you have a lot of questions in there that can’t be answered until you hit some putts with both. But briefly the milled series gives a little firmer feedback and rolls out a touch further than the insert. It feels more like a Scotty Studio model, and the i series feels more like an Odyssey
