  • Distrance Driven Technology – Moves weight lower and deeper in the club head, aligning the center of gravity projection with the hot spot in the center of the face, producing optimal launch conditions and higher ball speeds for greater overall distance.
  • Tour feedback has led to a more blunt toe and symmetrical shape for an appealing look at address
  • Promotes a square face at impact, preventing slices and making it easier for directional and trajectory control. The additional offset also frames the ball more like an iron by positioning the leading edge closer to the hosel.

Question
i bought 2 clubs awhile back on ebay, the cobra s2 driver and the s2 3 wood. i just recently bought the cobra baffler rail hybrid. anyway i can tell if their real authentic cobras? i wouldnt imagine alot of people making fakes for cobra since people buy more of other brands. my driver came with the adjustable wrench and a cobra bag and manual that makes me think its authentic. they all came with the wraping around the heads of the club as well. all help is appreciated. thanks
also while reading the feedback from other buyers i looked at all the negative feedbacks and not one was for a counterfeit or fake club, it was all other stuff.

I’ve bought the majority of my equipment on ebay. You just have to read the descriptions carefully and buy from reputable sellers. I buy from golf stores that sell equipment on ebay. I just bought a set of Nike VR Split Cavities from a seller who had 5-pw which was perfect since I don’t hit a 3 or 4 iron. You’d have to trade long irons for hybrids at a store. I don’t buy anything from an Asian country because that’s where the majority of these counterfeits are coming from.
Question
im just getting into golfing so i bought some clubs. they are acuity hi-per max. so far i have broken my 3 iron off the end of the stick and have dented the bottom of my 1 driver on the bottom in a couple places. i know i havnt hit the driver very hard and the 3 iron is a hybrid one and i havnt hit the ground with it hard at all. i just smacked the ball and the head flew off. i cant find anybody to contact about the clubs? did i make a bad decision with buying acuity

try not hitting the ball off the street…

and buy something that doesn’t say fisher price…

Stop banging them against the ground, or theowing them when your ball slices or hooks and they’ll last you longer… so will your sanity.
Answered by bradstaley
Acuity Hiper Max are very cheap clubs….not meant for a serious golfer.

If you bought them and they broke right away, take them back…get a refund, not an exchange.

A good set of clubs should last for years and years if well taken care of.

If you’re just getting into golf, go to K-Mart and pick up the complete set of Ram golf clubs. It comes with everyting and a bag. Ram is a good name, but has been in decline over the last decade. They still make good stuff, but you can pick it up cheap…under $ 200.

If you want to go big….here’s what’s in my bag.

TaylorMade r5 Driver
Adams Ovation 3 & 5 Woods
Cleveland LDI Hybrid 2 & 3 Irons
Mizuno MX-23 Forged Irons
Titleist Vokey 52 and 56 degree wedges
Nike Oz Putter

All yours for about $ 2000 on eBay, if you find good used stuff.

No, breaking a golf club means that either it is too old, defective in manufacture or being used improperly. In my ten plus years of golf I have broken clubs several times. When you break a club, it’ll usually break at the point where the club head and the shaft meet. If it’s a new set or relatively new set (5 years or so) of clubs you’re using, it’s probably defective and dangerous. If the shrapnel of the club hits someone you could be looking at a lawsuit.
Although scratching on a base of a driver is not uncommon due to small pebbles or sand in the tee box, denting is highly unusual. My cousin has dented or rather collapsed his driver due to his swing speed. Of course, he drives over three hundred years regularly. So, unless you are hitting rocks and stones with your driver, or crushing 350 yrd drives like King Kong, you might want to return it for a refund or chuck it in the trash.
By the way, if you have a Costco nearby they might sell Golden Bear golf clubs as a complete set, bag and all. It’s only a couple hundred dollars I think. Very reasonable for a beginner, and it looks fairly forgiving. And you can always return the set for any reason because of the Costco policy.

When buying golf clubs, your best bet is to buy them from a dealer who specializes in golf equipment. Dealers who sell acuity hi-per max golf clubs probably don’t specialize in that field…

Golf clubs can be expensive, but a good dealer will have bargain prices on closeout/clearance models, and they will be infinitely better than clubs named after foreign sports car performance parts.

Question
Here are my reasoning’s why I play and why do I want to be a professional golfer. I started playing golf at freshmen year of my high school age 15 to be exact, And I was just like any of those new players I started off slow… and shot high 80s in front 9 and sometimes 70s-60s, and I was 2nd best for my golf team. Everyday I practice with my golf team, and we are first years so we had it rough for our first meets.

I’m usually the last one to practice from 3-8pm everyday for golf, and I have sacrificed my driving practice for being a specialist at Chipping/putting. Why did I sacrificed my driving well it was because as I read an article it says that 60% of golf is mainly about putting/chipping and so I took that fact and made it to my dedication to practice just on that for countless hours everyday.

One time our coach took our first years to the first hole and we stumbled on a practice ball. This practice ball was 100-115 yards away from the hole and the coach told us who wants to try and hit it and no one has dared to hit. Unfortunately for me I was picked because the others had woods/hybrids and putters carried with them because they were rushed over to come with our coach. I on the other hand was carrying a sand wedge.

So as I was preparing to hit the practice ball I felt as if I wasn’t the one hitting the ball, It just doesn’t feel like me. So when I came into contact “Note I don’t have the experience with driving at all” The ball was hit perfectly went straight up high and just went over the flag pole 5 feet away from it. From that time on everyone eyes were astonished by what I just done. I asked my coach how that was possible and he said that wasn’t luck that was pure skill my hips turning and my club head coming down on the ball was perfect that is what he had said.

But the reason why I played golf was because that excitement of the ball going up is priceless and for the professionals to be able to do that for a living is every mans dream to able to do. My family does not have enough money to pay for my golf fees and usually I practice on my spare time at the park with 100 yards of length with a pitching wedge and I chipped there also. I am very committed to this sport and when I grow up I want to be able to turn professional, and earn my card to go on tour to earn money for my family who is supporting me for this sport.

Then it was Summer I practiced golf and had the money to go to the driving range. I played with local golfers and shot on the front 9 45-50s And they loved my chipping and putting but as for the drives they said I need more work. I had told myself still that isn’t enough to become professional. The only thing that I’m good at is chipping/putting, but my drives are just horrible and I don’t know what is wrong? I spent so much time working on this drive and I can’t even drive above 150+ I was sometimes lucky to hit 200 with my driver once or twice, and as for my irons I did terrible as I either top or slice horribly. I questioned my self why can’t I hit the same swing as I did on the first day of golf season, why?

I can’t pass this obstacle it is impossible for me. And then I asked myself for the last time. Could I really become a Golf Professional with the progress I’m making at the moment. So I need as many answers from you people and thank you for taking the time to read this.

Why not have a try?
I notice that you are really interested in the golf career. You started to play it while you were 15 years old.
Just do what you want, don’t hesitate.
And as beginning of your playing, you could consider more new golf clubs.
lol…
If there is any question you have, you could refer to my suggest source link. LOL…
Anyway, I support you!

Interesting post…
I would chalk your 1st shot up to beginners luck, sorry. It just isn’t that easy. It is great that your chipping and putting is good, but there is a biggg difference between hitting a chip or even a sand wedge and hitting a 5i or driver. Keep working with your coach and even other players (if they are good iron and wood players).

As far as becoming professional, you have to be realistic. Set short term swing and score goals. Keep in mind that professionals have a handicap better than scratch so you are a long way from reaching your ultimate goal. Not saying you cannot reach it, just be realistic with your goals and keep pushing to become better. Best of luck.

Relax! A good Golf Swing Setup is just not that tough! The good news is that you probably have a good athletic golf swing setup and all you need is to brush it up and be more relaxed.

You can can choose from three different Golf Grips. It’s your choice and you should choose the golf grip that feels right for you.

An athletic Golf Stance and golf swing setup is the launching pad for your swing. If you start with a bad stance, you’ll probably follow with a bad back swing, a bad downswing, and a bad follow through. Not to worry though. It’s just not that difficult!

Solid basic Golf Swing Steps or golf swing mechanics lead to an easy golf back swing, down swing, and follow through.

The Golf Back Swing – Don’t think about your arms. Instead of thinking about my arms and swinging my golf club , I try to think of my back swing as turning my back to the target. I’m just putting the golf club behind my back.

My best advice for your Golf Down Swing, with one exception, is to just let it happen! The down swing and follow through should be the very natural result of everything that precedes it.

Golf Swing Summary – I DO still remember the faulty golf swing mechanics and neurotic golf swing thoughts that result in that less than memorable worm burner shot or that weak 70 yard shot off to the right. Here’s my list of golf swing killers.

What little I know about the golf swing is already on these pages, but I’ll be glad to provide whatever Swing Tip Support I can. I’m no expert, and everything I’ve done here is probably incorrect according every golf aficionado on the planet. But then again, if it works, do you really care?

honestly, don’t worry about turning pro. your chances of ever making money turning pro are extremely small. Play for the love of the game. Play for the walk in the park. PLAY because you and your friends love the challenge. Just play and enjoy. Forget about a career as a pro.

If your that interested in a golf career try one of the ancillary careers — grounds keeper, club maker, teaching pro, sales rep for a company, course manager. That way you are making money, still around the game, but not so dependent on your shots.

If its a cheaper set of clubs, that’s probably why they’re so cheap. If it happends with more expensive clubs, it is a manufacturer’s defect, but even the pros break clubs every now and then.

hmmmm i think your problem is that you might not be taking care of your clubs.
it might not be just on the golf course do you keep your clubs in the garage or inside your house i keep mine inside my house because my friend has some very expansive clubs he left them outside for about 3 months they all rusted
i have alot of experience and next time i think you should get steel clubs
