Question
Hi,

I noticed that adams just made a new set of hybrid irons called the adams idea a7 irons. I was wondering if theyre any good? Are they better than their previous irons (the a4)? Also they are cheaper then last years, why is this? Has anybody tried them yet?

thanks,
Jack

Answered by Ryan S
yes i hit them and i was amazed at how well they performed, they are the best irons adams have ever made
Question
wish to know the degree of each hybrid iron 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 and PW
I also use a 3wood 5wood 7wood
I am so confused and I am 75 years old and playing for 3 years
Answered by barry w
Go to the Adams Golf Website. Select IRONS from the top. Than go to the A 70 os MAX selection. Next choose SPECS (right hand side of page, second line). I tried to answer you in grid form, but it came out dis – jointed. So just go to the Adams web site Figure that your 3 wood is 15 degrees loft. 5 wood is 18 degrees loft and the 7 wood is 20 degrees
Question

yes u do but most of the time the hybrids are slightly lighter so u might need to adjust ur swing because of the increasded swing speed
Answered by emt_23387
Yes you are suposed to swin them the same as all your other irons; however, I tried them and just couldn’t do it. Every time I would try and swing it like my woods no matter how hard I tried. I did’t like them at all but alot of people say they wouldn’t ever go back to regular irons. For me I sold mine and went back to my regular 3 and 4 irons.
Answered by Jason G
I swing it like I would swing a long iron. They are long iron replacements, so that is how you should swing them.
Answered by luciditymaster
Hmm….you can really do it either way, like a mid iron or like a wood. When I have used them I hit them more like a wood of the tee and like an iron (gently descending blow/small divot) from the fairway, but I don’t play them on a regular basis because they go a little to high for me
Answered by x-15a2
Yep, you should swing them like an iron, not a fairway wood. There’s an article on this in Golf Magazine this month.
Question
Nike set is steel and only comes with 6 irons and Adams clubs are graphite and come with 2 hybrids and 6 irons. Which one is the better buy. I found websites that have the Nike set at 199.99 and the Adams at 219.99.
Answered by Trae
Well you are talking about two different clubs here, i absolute love the Hybrid i mean i use it instead of the actual driver.
Answered by ~D.P.~
Nike Slingshot 4D Irons Steel: Steel shafts are made for faster swing speeds, and your getting all irons.
Adams Idea Hybrid Irons Graphite: Graphite shafts are made for slower swing speeds, and hybrid irons are made for players who want a bigger club face and it’s mainly based on feel.

If you want a normal set of irons and have a normal swing speed get the Nike’s. If you have more of a slower swing speed and prefer the bigger irons go with the Adams.
