Question

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see. My guess, based on previous years, would be in the $ 400-$ 500 range.
Question
Hi! I’m in the market for a new driver. How do the new Callaway drivers (diablo edge, ft-9, ft-iz) compare against my old cleveland HiBore XL? Thanks for your input!
Answered by dmartin2214
I would vote for Callaway

Anything is better than your old driver. That Cleveland was a mistake off the drawing board, it was a bad club.
Question
i just bought a Callaway FT-iQ Driver and am having a tough time not slicing the ball any tips or users of this club?
Answered by Trevor
I don’t think it is down to the club for a start.
2 things you may be doing wrong:
1. Your set up could be too much of an open stance, trying closing it up a bit.
2. You are swinging “out to in” which means you are inadvertently putting the side spin on it yourself.
Try imagining a tee placed around 6 inches behind your ball and 6 inches in front of it. When you swing, try to pass the club head over the back tee on the backswing and pass it straight over the tee in front of your ball.
By doing this it should help you to eliminate the out to in swing and eliminate your slice.

THis is the biggest problem most amateurs have, slicing the ball right. Your hands are passed the ball at contact. Also the last guy is right it;s never the club. It’s you that is the problem. Trust us. What trevor said was right. Try to develop an inside out swing. that means that you are going to start to turn the club around your body sooner. Your hands are to far away from your body when you first start your swing. Good luck. Lots of good drills in golf mags out there to.
Answered by mmmm.cake
the only way it could be the club is if the shaft is not stiff enough for how hard you might be swinging. If you swing hard and the shaft isnt stiff enough, it will slice every time.
Answered by David K
Try turning your upper body more on the back swing. I made this correction last year and it helped me from hitting over the top causing the ball to slice.
Answered by Gimmy
Go to a local callaway store and they will help you. Good luck.
Question
I AM A LEFTY AT GOLF,i have a bad slice,callaway has a new driver,fusion ft3,which do I need-the draw-or fade,help please!
Answered by Cheesie55
If you slice the ball, then you would probably want to look at the draw one which should help your cause. I would suggest seeing if there is a demo club you can hit to find out if you like it and if it helps you any.
Answered by ballstothewall
If you have a slice than you need to buy the one with a draw or you will be slicing the ball even more.
Answered by lhgolfer
Spend the money on several lessons with a PGA professional to learn how to draw the ball. Spending money on equipment to improve your game is futile!
