You’re doing good. You should swing the hybrids like you swing every other club- it’s MUCH easier to have one full swing for 13 clubs than 13 swings for 13 clubs (putter excluded). It’s a matter of ball placement in the stance where I see confliction: some think playing the ball slightly forward (sort of like a FW) is good; others recommend playing the ball in the middle of the stance (like a 6i). It’s up to you, really, to find the optimum spot.

If I were you, I’d get them checked for length. Like every other club, the hybrids have been creeping longer in length- all in the pursuit of “more distance”. What they don’t tell you is longer clubs are harder to control. Go see a fitter- maybe a 40.5″ hybrid is what you need; maybe a 39.5″ is the ticket. The point is to make consistent, centered contact- the fitter is going to help get you as close as s/he can to that (the rest will be up to you).

Like your long irons but the results will be much better I can hit my long irons so I thought I didn’t need to cheat with the hybrids but WoW I just got the Adams Idea 9031 Pro Black 20 degree = to say a 3 or 4 iron But man are they ez to hit high , straight and soft So ball ahead in stance address like a long iron take away is long and low on the back swing and swing ez let the club do the work you just make sure you try to make nice contact Don’t Over Swing!!!

The only thing that should vary is ball placement and your stance when you hit these clubs. The swing should be the same. I recommend taking it back only 75% to familiarize yourself with the clubs and find what stance and ball placement you find that works best with your clubs. Long iron ball placement is usually towards the left.

You really want to establish a repeatable swing. Understanding the importance of a 75% swing will really help you in the long run. It establishes fundamentals as well as strengthens your short game.

Well, I’ve hit the BUL fairway, but I think the Boxer is a hybrid not a fairway.

I wasn’t impressed with the Boxer, it felt a little overly stiff and boardy, not much feedback. Then again I only hit it in a net.

The BUL fairway (5 wood, S flex, 75 gram Aldila shaft), I was very impressed with! Nice solid feeling, but not at the cost of feedback. When they get a little older (cheaper), I’ll definitely consider picking one up!

I swing callaway but yes thy are worth it
