The Titleist 909 H fairway wood features a tour proven modern profile club head that is larger with a longer face constructed from stainless steel body and carpenter steel face insert. This is a high performance hybrid that delivers a optimum launch trajectory and spin rates throughout all the lofts that instills confidence and provides forgiveness. club selection in new set?
Question
I am looking to start my saving for new golf clubs and am between pings g10 sets and titleist. I have a thing for having matching clubs for the most of my bag so almost all will compliment everything. My first choice for clubs is:

907d2 driver
906f2 3W
3-P AP2
vokey 50,54,58
putter-SC? if funds go right.

second set I am thinking:

Ping G10 driver
G10 3W
3-P I10 irons
either brake the chain with the same vokeys or I10 U,S,L wedges
Putter, sabertooth, or ping anser

I might look into 3and4 irons being hybrids depending on cost. I was just wondering what feedback is on both sets for a 11 HC. I am also thinking of the s57 irons and tour w wedges.Thank you.

Answered by derekradac
Well if you want the best just go with the taylormade tour burner for your driver and woods, titleist or mizuno for your irons and vokey wedges. but if you have your heart set on those companies then go with all titleist or ping woods and the rest titleist.
Answered by mannyq
First off, if you’re just ~starting~ to save up, I would bet that by the time you’re done that there would be new clubs coming out.

What exactly is your question? The best thing to do is to go to a golf shot and hit them and see which ones you like better.

In the market for a new set of irons..which ones?
Question
Hello, I am not new to golf, i got my first set of clubs 8 years ago (Titleist 762′s) and ive decided to get a new set. I hit the 762s fairly consistent. I never bothered to find out my handicap over the years but started to pay more attention to my game this season. I shoot in the 80′s consistently and would like to get better. And when I mean better, hit the range more, practice, learn how to shape shots and so fourth. I ordered a set of Mizuno T-Zoid True Blades for a complete steal and im not worried at the moment cause I havent hit them but just in case I figure out my game is not as good as i thought, what are some good sets out there for me? Also, I’m a little confused as far as what shafts I should get. I hit the simulator at Golf Galaxy, My driver speed is 100-110, hybrid is 97-100 but irons were 80+, i dont know if it read my swing wrong but if it is accurate, what shafts should i get?(stiff, reg?)
Answered by Norm Jones
Great question. There are so many great irons available. I can only give you my opinion. You sound similar to me, at least in swing speed. If mishits are a problem, a set of forgiving irons, like a cavity back irons would be in order.

However, mishits are not a concern for me. I play a set of Taylormade muscle backs. I feel I can shape shots better with those. At my swing speed for irons (similar to yours), I play regular shafts. Also, I do steel shafts on my irons. I cannot get a feel for graphite shafts on the irons.

Again, my swing speed with my driver is similar to yours. My woods, are also Taylormade. I play a 9.5 degree R580 driver with a stiff shaft. However, for my 3 wood, I prefer a regular shaft (also a TM R580).

As for the hybrids, I cannot offer anything. I carry a 2 iron.

get stiff shafts for your irons and as far as woods you could use extra stiff or stiff shafts just look at what your ball flight would be and your length with both i would guess stiff would be better though.
good combo of golf clubs?
